Great first podcast episode—looking forward to more.

One interesting nuance when discussing 'keepers' is contract structure and the chance to offer surplus value. If Julian evolves into a positive rotation player, which seems likely, his flat $3m contract over the next three years could yield significant surplus value.

Thanks a ton! Julian is definitely worth keeping around! Fantastic value for a guy who at times looks like a solid rotation piece! The inconsistency and low efficiency from everywhere but the three-point line is a little concerning, but like we talked about earlier this season, he has some shades of Danny Green in his game!

Do you guys rank Sochan as second-best defensive player? I say keep him because of his great defense and raw natural instincts on the court. Maybe he’s a 6th man?

Definitely a question worth pondering! Maybe we can squeeze this into a future episode?

Year 5??!! Has Devin been here that long??? Wow 😮 that was fast. He’s only played 70+ games once and last season only 38 games. That’s a concern. Are you guys intrigued with how the Spurs responded without three key pieces? Also, Mamu and Champagnie have to be a serious conversation for possible starting positions going into camp, right? And the three guard sets that were an experiment in the beginning of the season, how does it look now?

And noooooo! Please no Trae Young. And, DJ at the helm down the stretch makes me more skeptical of Trae. Can Trae be a floor general, or a team player under Wemby? His history as a high-maintenance superstar is not attractive. CAVS are a head scratcher. Extremely disconnected lately on defense.

Cooper Flagg reference 💯 Realistically, how many years will need, 2-3 years, development?

SOCHAN!! Lacks focus…extraordinarily talented and STILL RAW (20). His maturity is detrimental to team chemistry. His competitiveness, when he’s focused? Potentially all-star level.
