Totally hear what you’re saying. Not 100% convinced he HAS to be here long term, but still like the goals you have for him. Think the finishing improvements have been really awesome. Thanks Noah.

That’s what’s great about Wemby, he certainly gives you many different ways to built around him. Tough to find which option will be the best:)

Thank you Noah for your response :)

I think Sarr would not be a good fit next to Wemby. He might the biggest talent in the draft, but having a generational player like Wemby, who is clearly best at Center, should weigh heavily in their decision making regarding the draft.

And as you see in Cleveland, even having two great Centers, playing them together has some serious problems, especially if both are occupying the same space on offense

I definitely understand your concerns there! However, because Wemby spaces the floor and create for himself at multiple levels, it wouldn't be as crowded as you might think! With that said, I feel like it would be smartest to have Sarr come off the bench at first and stagger his minutes with Wembanyama so they don't share the floor often! Sarr has shown some flashes of three-point shooting, or at least been willing to let it fly, but he is far from ready to shoot in the NBA! Still think the Spurs have to go highest upside if they land the first pick, but they could also consider trading down and getting someone else who might make more sense for them if they believe they can land additional assets in the process! Appreciate your insight! Lots to think about if you are San Antonio!

I’m sold on him being a long-term piece in San Antonio, but if the Spurs have to package him to land a genuine co-star for Wemby then I would be okay with that! Much harder to find a number two than a third fiddle! But would love to see him have a chance to scale down if the Spurs end up trading for Trae Young!
